Hi, my name is Alice.

I am a mobile project manager at the Rennes design office.

What is your background?

I graduated from INSA Rennes where I did my integrated preparation in three years instead of two, since I joined the high level athlete course. And then, I did my specialty in Networks and Telecoms in three years.

I chose this course for its generalist side. And then as I went to school, I realized that I preferred management to technology. I really enjoyed following the progress of projects and structuring teams.

At the end of my studies, it was not easy to find a position with so much responsibility. But I was lucky enough to meet David, my manager, who quickly trusted me.

What does your job consist of?

In this business, no two days are the same. In fact, this is what makes it very stimulating and interesting.

Sometimes, I am in a meeting with the client to monitor the progress of their project and resolve the difficulties encountered. Sometimes, I work with the team to remove any bottlenecks.

As a project manager, I also ensure that processes are respected within the team, in particular the use of management rules and tools.

I also manage invoicing, the drafting of quotations and ensure their follow-up.

I also work closely with my manager David and Charlotte, the Project Director, especially during our weekly meetings, which allows us to closely monitor projects.

What are the qualities required to do this job?

You have to be organized to be able to switch between the different projects. Rigorous, to enforce processes within the team. It may seem redundant at times, but it is necessary for a good organization. And to have confidence in yourself, because I am the first point of contact with the customer.

Do you have a passion, a hobby?

So I've been doing triathlon at a high level for four years now. I train for about 20 hours a week, so I swim every morning and then I run or ride at noon or in the evening. It's been a very busy day. You have to be well organized, but I love that!
